THE PEONY PRACTITIONER NETWORK
Anyone can list themselves in a directory.
The Peony Practitioner Network verifies credentials and licensure before a profile goes live. That's the whole difference — being listed here means someone checked, and the people reading it know that.
Listings go live October 19, 2026 · Verified profiles are included with Peony PRO membership
WHY VERIFICATION
The person searching can't tell the difference. Often, neither can her oncologist.
A woman seeking nutrition support, lymphedema care, therapy, or integrative services often makes that decision with incomplete information and limited time.
A list cannot tell her whose license is current, who has relevant training, or who works from an evidence-informed framework. The colleague considering a referral may face the same uncertainty.
Verification turns a list into a credible professional resource. A verified profile tells women and referring colleagues that credentials and license status, where applicable, have been checked.
The Network is more than a directory. It connects women seeking trustworthy support with practitioners who need credible peers across disciplines.
HOW LISTINGS WORK
What a listing can show
The Peony Directory is where practitioner listings live inside the Peony App.
Basic Profile — free, always
Your name, your website, and your social links. Discoverable in the wider Peony community. Not credential-verified. No peer connection or Network access.
Verified PRO Listing — included with membership
Credentials and licensure verified. Prioritized above basic listings in search. Filterable by discipline, specialty, and location. Full access to the Practitioner Network and peer referral.
Cancer Companion™ Badge — with the certificate
Graduates of the Peony Cancer Companion Certificate carry the badge on their listing, showing the certificate held, the specialization, the year of conferral, and current standing.
Directory Spotlight — available separately. Enhanced placement in the Directory, available under Peony's partner policies. BRAND PARTNERS →
Standing is not permanent. It lapses for non-renewal or unmet continuing education, and can be suspended or removed under Professional Accountability. A listing that says current means current.
HOW IT WORKS
Four steps
01 · Apply
Ten minutes, no fee. We verify your credentials and licensure and review your application for alignment with the Peony Care Method™.
02 · Build your profile
Your discipline, expertise, services, practice information, and how you work. This is what people see.
03 · Go live in the Peony Directory
Verified profiles rank above basic listings and are filterable by discipline, specialty, and location.
04 · Refer, and be referred
Connect with verified members across disciplines. Send people where they need to go, and be found by the practitioners doing the same.
YOUR PROFILE

- Website and contact information
- Educational contributions across the Peony ecosystem
- Community involvement and contributions
Verified profiles rank above basic listings, and people searching can filter to verified members only.
Increase visibility. Stay current. Build trust.
Be discovered.
A profile that shows your expertise, services, and approach to the people actively searching for support.
Stay current.
Standing in the Network is tied to ongoing participation in Peony PRO education — which is what keeps the listing meaningful.
Get featured.
Opportunities to contribute content, teach webinars, appear on the podcast, and reach beyond your own practice.
PEER CONNECTION
Referrals move in both directions.
The Network is where you find practitioners to refer to — and where they find you.
An oncology nurse may need a lymphedema specialist. A dietitian may need a therapist who understands survivorship. An integrative practitioner may need a reliable clinical contact.
Most referral networks are built one trusted name at a time. The Network is designed to make that process more current, credible, and multidisciplinary.
Peer connection is reserved for verified members because a referral network is only as useful as the confidence its members have in one another.
Each new member expands the disciplines, locations, and expertise represented. Founding members form the Network's earliest referral relationships.
THE STANDARD
A directory built on ongoing learning.
A one-time credential check confirms where a practitioner began. Ongoing learning helps demonstrate that their knowledge and participation remain current.
Network members maintain active participation in Peony PRO education through weekly sessions, the Care Plan Toolkit, protocols, and cross-disciplinary discussion.
This matters because breast cancer treatment, survivorship guidance, and evidence around integrative approaches continue to evolve.
Ongoing learning is what keeps a verified listing meaningful.
SMART MATCHING
In development
Peony is building matching tools designed to help people find practitioners aligned with their diagnosis, treatment stage, goals, preferences, and support needs — rather than scrolling a list and guessing.
Matched on: needs and goals · diagnosis and treatment stage · modality and approach · location and access
As the Network grows, these tools help people navigate their options with more confidence, and help practitioners connect with the people they are genuinely best equipped to serve.
In development. We'll announce it when it works, not before.
VISIBILITY
Beyond the listing
Members are eligible for opportunities across the Peony ecosystem — teaching webinars, appearing on the podcast, contributing protocols and educational content, and, as programs develop, serving as instructors and mentors in the Certificate Program.
A listing helps someone find you. Contribution, trusted referrals, and ongoing learning help the field know what you stand for.
FAQ
Directory Questions
Is the basic profile really free?
Yes, and it stays free. You appear in the Peony App and receive professional resources. What it doesn't include is credential verification, priority placement, or access to peer connection and referral.
How long does verification take?
Applications are reviewed within five business days. Verification of credentials and license status happens during that review.
What if my license is in one state but I work remotely across several?
Your listing shows where you're licensed and how you work — in person, remote, or both. People filter on both, so remote practitioners are findable outside their own state.
Can I be listed if I'm not licensed?
Yes, where your role doesn't require one — advocates, survivors supporting others, community health workers, and coaches whose credentials are certifications rather than licenses. Your listing shows what you actually hold. We verify credentials where they exist and evaluate experience where they don't.
What happens to my listing if I don't renew?
Standing lapses and the listing is withdrawn. It can be restored when membership and continuing education are current.
Do certificate holders get a different listing?
Same directory, additional standing. A Cancer Companion™ in Active Standing carries the badge alongside their verified credentials, showing the certificate held, the specialization, the year of conferral, and current standing.
What is a Directory Spotlight?
Enhanced placement in the Directory, available separately under our partner policies. It is a placement product, not a credential — verification and the Cancer Companion™ badge are earned, and cannot be purchased.
