Accessibility Statement
Last updated: July 27, 2026
Our commitment
Peony exists to make information usable by people navigating one of the hardest experiences of their lives, and by the professionals supporting them. A resource that cannot be used is not a resource.
We are committed to making peonypro.com, the Peony App, and our educational materials accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of ability or technology.
Conformance status
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA.
These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, neurological, and learning disabilities.
peonypro.com is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Partially conformant means some parts of the content do not yet fully conform. We are actively working to identify and resolve those areas.
Digital interfaces implementing the Peony Care Plan™ are built to WCAG 2.2 Level AA, as stated in the Peony Care Plan Guide.
Measures we take
Accessibility is part of how we build and review, not a step at the end. We:
- Include accessibility in our design and content review process
- Design for keyboard navigation, so no function requires a mouse
- Build for screen reader compatibility, with meaningful headings, labels, and landmarks
- Meet WCAG contrast requirements for text and interface elements
- Provide text alternatives for images that carry meaning
- Caption recorded webinars and educational video
- Write in plain language and avoid unnecessary jargon
- Offer the Peony Care Plan™ in print and downloadable formats, so it does not depend on any single device or interface
- Ensure the site remains usable when text is resized or the display is magnified
- Brief contributors on accessibility expectations for materials they provide
Compatibility
The Services are designed to work with current versions of major browsers, including Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge, and with the assistive technologies commonly used with them, including screen readers and speech recognition software.
The Services may not work fully with browsers or assistive technologies more than two major versions old.
Technical specifications
Accessibility relies on the following technologies working with your browser and any assistive technology you use: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and WAI-ARIA.
Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some limitations remain. We list them here so you know what to expect, and we are working to resolve them.
- Third-party content. Materials contributed by experts and partners, and content delivered through third-party platforms, may not always meet our standard. We work with contributors to improve accessibility and prioritize remediation of materials in active use.
- Older recorded sessions. Captions on archived recordings may contain errors where automated captioning was used. We correct these on request and are working through the archive.
- Documents. Some downloadable documents may not yet be fully tagged for screen readers. We will provide an accessible alternative on request.
- Embedded media and third-party tools. Some third-party players, forms, and scheduling tools do not fully conform. We are evaluating alternatives.
Alternative formats
If you need any Peony resource in a different format — large print, plain text, an accessible document, or another arrangement — contact us and we will work to provide it at no cost.
Tell us about a barrier
If you encounter something you cannot use, we want to know, and we will tell you what we can do about it and when.
accessibility@peonypro.com
Please include:
- The page or feature
- What you were trying to do
- The browser, device, and any assistive technology you were using
We aim to acknowledge every report within two business days and to respond substantively within five business days. Where a fix will take longer, we will tell you what we are doing and provide an alternative way to get what you need in the meantime.
If we do not resolve it
If you are not satisfied with our response, write to accessibility@peonypro.com and ask that your report be escalated. A member of our leadership team will review the matter directly and respond to you.
Assessment approach
Peony assesses the accessibility of the Services through:
- Self-evaluation during design and content review
- Automated testing as part of our development process
- Manual testing with keyboard navigation and screen readers
- Feedback from the people who use the Services
Formal approval
This statement was prepared on July 27, 2026 and reflects our accessibility status as of that date. It is reviewed at least annually and whenever significant changes are made to the Services.
