MEMBERSHIP BY APPLICATION

Being vouched for matters.

Anyone can create a directory listing. Peony PRO verifies credentials and licensure and reviews every applicant for alignment with the Peony Care Method™ — so a verified listing means something. Founding members join before the first listings go live and help establish the standard the Network carries forward.

WHY BY APPLICATION

A Network Is Only as Good as Its Standards

We review your credentials, license status where applicable, and alignment with the Peony Care Method™.

Not everyone who applies is admitted. That is the point.

A woman seeking support cannot easily distinguish a qualified practitioner from someone whose training or scope is unclear. The colleague considering a referral may face the same uncertainty.

Verification confirms what a practitioner holds and how they work. It turns a directory listing into a credible professional signal.

From that foundation, membership adds multidisciplinary education, a shared care-planning method, practical tools, and professional pathways.

FAQ

Common Questions

Do I need to specialize in oncology?

No. Members come from oncology, rehabilitation, nutrition, mental health, integrative medicine, advocacy, and community health. What matters is that your work touches the breast cancer journey somewhere and that you want to understand more of it than your own discipline covers.

What if I'm not licensed — I'm a survivor, an advocate, or a community health worker?

You're welcome to apply. We verify credentials where they exist and evaluate experience where they don't. Lived experience is a qualification here, not a workaround. What we're checking is that you're transparent about your training and clear about your scope.

What does verification actually check?

Your stated credentials against issuing bodies, and your license status where applicable — active and in good standing. We also review your application for alignment with the Peony Care Method™.

When do I pay?

After approval. Applying is free, and we won't ask for payment until you've been accepted.

What happens if I'm not approved?

We tell you directly and explain why. Where there's a path to reapply, we'll say what it is.

Do I have to practice the Peony Care Method™?

No. The Method is a framework for care planning and coordination, not a treatment protocol or a scope expansion. It's designed to sit alongside whatever you already do.

Do the Cancer Companion™ scope boundaries apply to me as a member?

No. Those boundaries define the Cancer Companion™ role, which is a specific non-clinical position with its own published standards. Membership does not narrow your existing scope. You continue to practice within your own license, credential, and training, exactly as you do now.

What if I can't attend the live webinars?

Every session is recorded and added to the member library. Live attendance is for the Q&A and case discussion, not for access to the material.

Can I cancel?

Membership runs a full year from activation. You can decline renewal at any point before it comes due.

Do the webinars carry continuing education credit?

Every session is built to accreditation standards — documented learning objectives, faculty disclosures, post-activity evaluation, and a certificate of completion with the details boards require. Where your board accepts self-submitted activities, you'll have what you need to submit. We are pursuing formal accreditation and will announce credit types as they're confirmed. We won't claim credit we haven't secured.
